Julio Hernandez is a 2024 C/OF with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Union City, NJ who attends Union City. Recorded a 7.47 second sixty yard dash time. Smaller frame with lean and slender, has plenty of room to fill moving forward. Primary catcher with a high and side straddle set up, shows long footwork and segmented actions at present. Stays in line well with the target and gains good ground, shows long transitions and a stiff arm action. Will continue to improve as he stays low throughout the process and keeps his momentum moving towards the target. Right-handed hitter with an even base and slightly open stance, utilizes a small stride forward. High hand and low back elbow set, hands lean forward to start. Throws his hips and hands at the ball, will improve impact potential as he gets stronger and stays grounded in his lower half. Shows a short and inside hand path, showed present barrel control and proved he could square the ball up consistently. Young prospect with a great chance to improve. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
