Shane Jelenevsky is a 2026 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-5 190 lb. frame from Briarcliff Manor, NY who attends Iona Preparatory. Works from a lanky frame with broad shoulders and room to add strength. Primary catcher, starts in a side saddled stance, gets out of the set fairly quickly, utilizes a midline transfer that worked into a deeper arm path, kept the throws low and online, recorded arm strength up to 70 mph and a pop time of 2.19. Secondary right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch, starts from the first base side of the rubber, hands stay around the chest, lifts the leg up to the belt and coils it, breaks into a shorter arm path, releases from a low three-quarters slot, arm action has some funk to it, fastball showed some arm-side run and topped at 79 mph, worked it north/south and located it fairly well, landed a sinker that complimented the heater nicely and disrupted hitters. Left-handed hitter, starts in a slightly open base with a low hand set-up, utilizes a hover trigger, gets the barrel extended out in front, has some strength in the hands, creates leverage and carry to the pull-side, recorded an exit velocity of 80 mph. Ran an 8.31 sixty-yard dash. Great student.
