John Dolan is a 2026 C/RHP/3B with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Huffman, TX who attends Hargrave. Strong and sturdy build, looks like the catcher he is. 7.31 in the sixty. Has good athleticism and quickness behind the plate, showed quick and compact transfers and gets rid of the ball quickly with some carry to it, makes accurate throws, consistent in his lower half footwork and actions. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with nice balance to his swing, hits under control with a short and direct swing, gets into his strong hips and lower half well to generate bat speed, line drive swing plane, has heaviness in the barrel and gets nice jump, pull side to mid field contact. Also pitched, has a simple directional delivery and gets down the mound well, compact catchers arm action. Fastball sat in the mid-80's and was mostly straight, also threw a nice curveball with good power and spin. Mature player with well balanced tools and skills. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Missouri.
