Reagan Rivera is a 2021 SS/RHP, C, 2B with a 5-8 158 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends San Diego Business. Medium frame with a lean, athletic type build showing some fast twitch muscle. Ran a 7.47 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, showing great first step instincts as he works low to and through the baseball. Clean gather out front and is confident with the leather. Quick transfer and proved to have some whip to the arm as he threw it 86 mph during drills. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working exclusively from the stretch as he lifts above the belt while balanced. Fluid operation as he drives down the mound and works well over front side. Three-quarter slot release and pounded the strike zone. Fastball up to 87 with arm side run. Mixed in both a curveball with bite and a sweeping slider. Also proved to have a fading changeup and a knuckleball that is work in progress. Secondary Catcher, sitting down in stance with flexibility in the lower half. Receives the baseball well and proved to have some framing skills. Quick transfers and was accurate to the bag as he recorded a 1.86 second pop time. Right-Handed Hitter, starting narrow and open with the front side with slight bat wrap over the helmet. Toe tap to stride and then flashed a linear swing path. Stayed simple to the baseball and found barrels consistently. Good Student. Named to California Workout Camp Top Prospect List.
