2022 WWBA Summer Workout Showcase (July 19)
Dylan Alonso is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Tiger, GA who attends Rabun Gap Nacoochee. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout, additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front, has the tools to profile at third base, huge arm strength across the diamond with big carry, shorter arm action, showed off athleticism on the charge play and moves well for size. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Stays short to the ball, gets downward with swing path, high finish through point of contact. Utilizes a double toe tap trigger for timing, can implement additional weight shift through lower half, ball jumps when creating lift out frnot, comfort working to pull side. Very good student. Named to WWBA Summer Workout Top Prospect List.
