Benjamin Haar is a 2022 1B/LHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from La Mesa, CA who attends Helix. He ran a 7.60 second sixty. A primary first baseman with a large frame. On the infield he showed cased his arm strength shuffling into his throws with good footwork to the ball and proper footwork on the double play feeds. In the outfield he works under control to the ball with a big gather with a shuffle, the arm slot is lower with some whip in the arm action causing some arm side run on the ball flight but still getting carry with a strong arm at 87 mph. Left-handed hitter, starts with an even base and slightly open stance, the swing has good rhythm with a simple stride, the barrel tracks long through the zone on a up hill path with jump off the barrel while working middle to pull with good leverage at the point of contact and strength in the hands. Excellent student. Named to the 2021 California Workout Camp Session 3 Top Prospect List.
