Richard Matos is a 2021 OF/ with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Dorchester, MA who attends Boston Collegiate Charter. Large to Extra Large frame with a thick, sturdy build. Broad shoulders with physical strength showing. Ran a 7.54 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, positions well in the outfield as he showed confidence as well. Quick first step as he utilized good routes to the baseball. Glove is strong and he fields it out front while carrying momentum into throws. Arm strength showing to be a premium as he threw it 91 MPH. Great feel for the position that projects well. Righthanded Hitter, starting from a slightly spread out stance. Very strong hands as he showed plus bat speed through the zone. Slightly longer swing as he looks to do damage with every swing. Creates some leverage as he proved he could lift the baseball and go gap to gap. Big jump when he finds the barrel. Outstanding Student. Named to National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
