Matthew Sargeant is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Ancaster, ON who attends Ancaster. Large frame with some strength but remaining room to fill out. Ran a 6.95 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, good body control and balance to his actions, gets to the spot and squares up the ball to receive it, transitions into his throws well and shows aggressiveness working through it with very good arm strength clocked up to 87 mph across. Righthanded hitter, big leg lift trigger for timing, works hard to lift the ball with an uphill path, shows strength off the barrel when squared which has shown to translate well to game action.
