2021 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Quaterrion Walton is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 5-10 143 lb. frame from Fairburn, GA who attends Langston Hughes. Showed plus speed with a 6.46 second sixty. Primary short stop with a medium slender build. Receives the ball with later glove presentation taking the ball and funneling to the mid line quickly while traveling into the throws with above average arm strength across the diamond. Starts with a side step into a belt high leg lift with a full arm action working to a high three-quarters arm slot while using the lower half effectively to get down the mound. Fastball sat 76-78 mph with short arm side run while throwing plenty of strikes. Showed a young breaking ball with limited depth in the low 70's. Right-handed hitter, loads the hands deep swinging with big intent as the bat path shows some loft coign through the hitting zone with an 88 mph exit velocity with more to com with added strength. Named to the 2021 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Top Prospect List.
