Pablo Adrian Hidalgo is a 2023 1B/RHP with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from La Mirada, CA who attends La Mirada. Compact frame with present physicality to the build. Ran an 8.30 second 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, shows some athleticism in his lateral movements around the bag, turns early to throw and does it well. Has developing arm strength but plays confident with his defensive actions. Also pitches, works a simple and compact delivery. Fills the zone with a short arm action generating some sink to the fastball while showing a big curveball out of 12-to-6 shape. Right-handed hitter, uses a big load to wind up into the swing and strides on line toward contact. Works short to the ball with his hands and shows strength off the barrel that projects with development. Very good student.
