Andres Kleinsek is a 2021 RHP/1B, 3B with a 5-11 186 lb. frame from Fitchburg, WI who attends Verona Area. Right-handed pitcher with a strong frame and physical build. Works out of the windup, starting with a small side step that leads into a belt high leg lift. Has good direction down the mound with drop and drive actions in the lower half, falling to the glove side at release and delivering from a mid, three-quarter slot. Fastball stays fairly straight, flashing some arm-side run at 77-80 miles per hour. Has developing feel for an upper-60s curveball, showing best at 68 miles per hour with small depth in the zone. Also shows feel for a change-up with fading action in the mid-70s, generating the most swings and misses with that pitch. Right-handed hitter that starts from a slightly open stance, with a high hand set and a short hand load. Has a gliding shift to contact, staying direct to contact with developing extension through the point of contact. Has developing bat speed, creating solid line drive contact at times while also looking to create some loft when on time and squared. Good student.
