Evan Russ is a 2023 OF/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Westfield, IN who attends Westfield. Taller physical frame. Outfielder with a quicker first step, has momentum and footwork working to and through the baseball, fields it clean out front with soft hands, transitions to throw with a side shuffle and long over the top arm action. Shows a slightly above average arm and some developing throwing accuracy. Leg lift timing at the plate, creates some separation, has bat speed and solid plate coverage skills, gets to a consistent hitting position and impacts the baseball with solid barrel control. Has athleticism to work with. Excellent student.
