Zion Ross is a 2021 OF/2B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Covington, GA who attends Newton. Compact frame with strength present on the build. Ran a 6.89 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, worked out in the outfield with young actions, creates uphill carry with shuffles into his release, low arm slot throws up to 73 mph from the outfield. Graded out better in the infield, clean hands with athleticism to his movements and footwork. Left-handed hitter, sets up at the plate with a square stance and a low hand set, takes a high leg lift trigger into contact, hands are quick to the baseball with a downhill swing plane, has pop off of the barrel when on time, hand-eye present with a gap to gap approach at the plate. Outstanding student.
