Connor Spink is a 2023 2B/RHP, SS, MIF, OF with a 5-9 152 lb. frame from Palm Harbor, FL who attends East Lake. He ran a 7.20 second sixty. A primary middle infielder with a young small frame. On the infield he approaches the ball deliberately under control working with two hands out front to receive the baseball, showed average arm strength with accuracy across the diamond. In the outfield he gets to and transfers the ball quickly, his throws have some carry and should develop more as he continues to add strength. On the mound works with a leg lift above the belt getting into a tucked position at the top, he does a nice job maintaining his line to the plate, the fastball sat in the 73-78 mph range with short arm side run from a high three-quarters arm slot, mixed in a slurvy breaking ball for strikes. Right-handed hitter, starts slightly open using a toe tap trigger, he displayed some bat to ball skills with a level bat path and the ability to spray the ball to all fields. Very good student.
