Brady Chenevert is a 2026 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Shrewsbury, MA who attends St. Johns. Medium, athletic looking frame with some present strength and plenty of room to physically mature. Primary left-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup with lower leg lift into balance and some length out to foot strike. Creates some deception by hiding the ball closer to his body before working into a shorter, compact arm stroke. Stays relatively clean and online on the backside of the arm swing and produces present arm speed. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 80 mph from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Strike thrower with ability to command the fastball fairly well to all four quadrants, some effort in release causes some timing issues with release point. Mixed in legitimate swing-and-miss breaking ball in the 2400-2500 RPM range, as it showed both vertical and horizontal tilt to its shape. Deceptive lefty with more velocity in the tank as he continues to add strength and refine mechanics. Tons of upside remaining on the mound. Secondary first baseman with good range to either side, a clean funnel out in-font and quick turns. Recorded arm strength up to 78 mph across the diamond with the ability to change arm slots when necessary. Left-handed hitter that hits from narrow, open stance with a lower, flat hand start and hanging leg lift. Incorporates deep hand load to create stretch and separation into contact, uses rotational lower half mechanics and has slight lean back at contact to generate lift. Developing bat-to-ball skill with legitimate power potential through the middle-of-the field. Will continue to improve with subtle adjustments to his swing mechanics that will clean up any timing issues. Physical, young prospect with plenty of present tools that will continue to improve with minor refinements and additional strength. Named to the 2022 13/14U Summer Northeast Top Prospect List.
