Grant Whitaker is a 2020 SS/2B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Milford, OH who attends Milford. Large build with present athleticism. Showed game impacting speed by posting a 6.80 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Flashed deliberate actions working to and through the ball in the infield. Showed developing glove actions with good range working to both sides of the infield. Displayed developing arm strength and accuracy to first base topping out at 71 mph to first base. Employs a wide, open stance with a little leg lift creating good separation. Uses a middle to opposite field line drive approach. Showed good barrel control and bat speed creating consistently driven line drives to the middle of the field. Flashed jump off the barrel to the pull side when on time and squared as well. Great student.
