Cole Jones is a 2021 C/RHP with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Hollister, MO who attends Hollister. Flashed a medium to large frame with a stocky, filled out build showing. Ran a 8.09 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher starting from a higher hip set. Receives the baseball well spotting up on the corners. Quick transfer while standing up before showing a compact arm action. Carry to throws showing. Secondary Righthanded pitcher working exclusively from the stretch. Comes set with weight on backside before working into a submarine release. Works quickly as he went on to pound the strike zone. Missed barrels and got weak contact showing good feel for the plate while staying down in the zone. Fastball showing arm side run with sink as well topping out at 69 MPH. Flashed a slider with sweep to it, keeping hitters off-balance. Righthanded hitter starting with a narrow stance with the front side wide open. Deep hands with a vertical bat. Bat speed showing with loud contact when he squares it up. Middle of the field approach. Outstanding Student.
