Troy Griffin is a 2023 2B/SS, OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Fallbrook, CA who attends Mission Vista. Features medium build with some strength currently present. Quick runner. Ran a 6.82 60-yard. Flashed athleticism throughout infield and outfield drills. Charges the ball with intent in the outfield. Showed good instincts on the dirt with sound footwork throughout. Displayed fairly quick ball transfer into short arm action throws. Showed solid arm strength from both spots with on-line carry. Utilizes an open stance with a narrow setup in the box. Moderate leg kick timing mechanics transitions wait onto backside well. Creates good hand stretch with load. Flashes some bat speed with a short, direct path. Strength plays fairly well to the pullside. Adding loft to bat path could allow for power to play more consistently. Good student, as well.
