Colin Lovelace is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein Oak. Slender frame with long levers and plenty of room to fill out. Primary outfielder with quick twitch actions and athleticism during the fielding process, fields properly off front foot while carrying some momentum into and through release. Displayed accurate throws from an over-the-top slot, showing developing arm strength recorded up to 83 miles per hour. Secondary right-handed pitcher, rhythmic delivery with low hand break while working from a lower three quarters arm slot. Goes right at the hitter with developing full mix, fastball sat mid-70s for the most part and topping out at 78 miles per hour. Shows feel for secondary offerings, sequencing both slurve and changeup well with replicated arm speed and ability to land for strikes. Right-hand hitter that hits from an upright even stance with simple hand load and leg lift trigger for timing. Middle-of-the field approach with compact, direct swing path and potential to impact with the addition of more strength. Shows consistent bat-to-ball skills with occasional carry to the gaps. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and added strength. Good Student.
