Skyler Roberts is a 2020 C/1B with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Gautier, MS who attends Gautier HS. Recorded a 7.13 second 60-yard dash time. Large athletic frame with some strength present throughout and room for more. Primary catcher with athletic actions and soft, quick hands. Good footwork with quicker transitions to the throwing hand. Gains ground well with a smooth arm stroke and arm strength recorded up to 73 mph. Righthanded hitter with a crouched stance and a spread, open start. Balanced load with quick and strong wrists that work best on a gap to gap basis. Level swing plane with an upper half dominant swing. Generates strength and bat speed through extension. Good leverage to pull with impact strength off the barrel. Good student.
