Kai Andrews-Sands is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Jersey Village. Medium athletic build with room to get stronger. Simple easy pitching mechanics with good pace, high 3/4's arm slot, front side can get quick and early at times. Steady upper 70's fastball, gets good cutting and running life depending on the side of the plate and location. Threw both a slider and a curveball, slider was the much better pitch this outing, gets out front much better with his slider with good tilt and depth, tends leave his arm behind on his curveball and not get out front with it. Turned over a few change ups. Has the mechanics to keep improving with more consistency. Right handed hitter with an upper body arm swing. 7.51 runner, young footwork and approach through the ball in the outfield. Good student.
