Luke Barrientos is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Ridgefield, CT who attends Ridgefield. Recorded a 4.89 second 40-yd dash time. Slender build with plenty of athleticism and room to fill out. Primary outfielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Quick twitch athlete that charges aggressively into a clean funnel, while gaining momentum into release. Loose, easy arm action works through release with quickness and smoothness. Recorded online, accurate throws in drills that were recorded up to 87 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher with long levers and athleticism in his delivery. Fairly simple operation with side step to higher, above the waist balance point and an over-the-top arm slot. Fastball worked in the 80-82 mph range for the majority of his outing, pairing it with a well-tunneled curveball with some depth to it. Right-handed hitter with an even base, inward leg lift trigger and well engaged lower half. Contact oriented stroke with flatter plane, consistent bat-to-ball skills and middle of the field approach.
