Lucas DeStefano is a 2021 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Atco, NJ who attends Hammonton. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. Right handed hitter, has a calm and balanced stance with a good back side load and positive shift into contact, has strength and quickness in his hands, hits under control with barrel control and some present bat speed, mature hitting approach he executes well, will continue to improve as a hitter as he gets stronger. 7.17 runner, has solid fundamental actions on defense, smooth to the ball with soft hands and balanced footwork, quick release and makes accurate throws due to his solid base, arm works well from lower slots, likely projects to second base at the next level. Also pitched, long and loose arm action from an extended 3/4's arm slot, gets out front at release well. Upper 70's fastball is mostly straight, curveball showed good depth and he got over it well from his extended release point. Threw strikes and had a quick innings. Solid all around player with skills who will keep improving. Elite level student. Named to the Fall Atlantic Coast Top Prospect List.
