Cole Miller is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-5 225 lb. frame from Newbury Park, CA who attends Newbury Park. Big and strong build, especially in the lower half. Works from the stretch with a high and flexible leg raise start, gets his big and strong hips turned well to drive his delivery, 3/4's arm slot with a clean full arm circle in back, low effort mechanics that he repeats well. Fastball topped out at 93 and worked consistently in the low 90's, gets outstanding running life at times, works side to side well with his fastball due to the life. Showed the same type of running life on his change up. Movement is a major weapon for him. Still developing spin and consistency on his slider, improving this pitch will be key to his development. Excellent student, verbal commitment to UCLA.
