Rayondre Mercer is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Statesboro, GA who attends Georgia Premier Academy. Smaller, athletic frame with room for physical growth. Primary outfielder; mature instincts, quick first step, aggressive through fielding process, short arm action with present arm strength and carry. Plus runner, was 6.50 in 60 yd dash. Secondary right handed pitcher; angled set up with small redirect step, controlled leg lift with slight hip turn. Three quarters release with athletic lower half, repeatable mechanics, life to fast ball. Topped at 82 mph. Commanded both sides of the plate well with some sinking life to arm side FB, tunneled 11/5 shaped slider that flashed tight spin and depth when he got extension. Right handed hitter; spread stance, strength in hands, inside-out approach with consistent loud contact to the middle of the field. Athleticism will allow for continued improvements as he matures.
