Brett Kugler is a 2021 RHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Plains, PA who attends Holy Redeemer. Slender young build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. Big side step delivery with high hands through his wind up, gathers well over his back leg, in line arm action with a mid 3/4's arm slot, keeps his front side closed well, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with some running action, works low in the strike zone consistently. Gets over his curveball well from that arm slot with good arm speed, good 11/5 depth at times. Strike thrower who has the present ability to mix his pitches and work a hitter. Key to his future development will be getting stronger, has the potential to be a mid-80's guy with pitchability in another year. Good student.
