Joe Prisco is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Whitestone, NY who attends St. Francis Prep. Extra-large, broad shouldered frame with present physical strength proportioned throughout frame, Ran an 8.63 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, side step moving into delivery with a high leg lift up past belt; long arm action through the backside working to a high three-quarters release point. Short stride, throws with intent but can work on top of the ball and generates steep plane. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, creates extension out front at release, projects with additional lower half implemented to drive down the mound. Curveball shows big 11-5 shape with depth and has a present feel for the pitch. Fields the ball out front at first base, comes through the ball well and funnels into a longer arm action, developing footwork off of the bag. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand seat and back elbow in the box; gets closed moving into contact with lower half. Upper body dominant swing, keeps hands inside the ball, creates occasional lift out front with a shorter stroke through the zone.
