Zachary Meaux is a 2022 C/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Gulf Breeze, FL who attends Gulf Breeze. Compact and stocky frame with present strength. Ran a 7.93 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up behind the plate with a side saddle stance, comes up out of his crouch well with quickness to his actions, utilizes a high exchange into his throw downs with a compact arm action, average arm strength with carry to the bag when getting on top, posted a 2.20 second best pop time during drills. Secondary righthanded pitcher, compact delivery that starts with a belt high leg lift, takes his arm back to a full arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, commands the zone well with a fastball up to 74 mph and a curveball with 11-5 shape. Also worked out in the infield, sits back on the ball and fields it while bending at the waist, open front side release with similar arm strength as behind the plate. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an open stance, quiet hands at load, compact swing with quickness to his hands, simple approach looking to barrel the baseball with the ability to do so. Outstanding student.
