Declan Groesbeck is a 2022 OF/3B/RHP with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Brophy College Prep. Young and slender build. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide stance with a high hand load, lots of pre-pitch movement to work through, short swing with some extension out front, hits the ball out front with a pull side approach, should continue to improve with physical maturity and adjustments. 7.21 runner, works through the ball aggressively in the outfield, long release at present that can be simplified and sped up, also plays the infield. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch, full arm action in back to a high 3/4's arm slot, hips open early going to the plate, tends to get off line before release. Fastball topped out at 73 mph, threw all fastballs. Very good student.
