Jeric Curtis is a 2022 OF/IF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Tomball Memorial. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to grow and fill throughout moving forward. Elite speed, posted a 6.22 in the 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, incorporates strength well into defensive actions and covers ground with agility, works to a higher slot on throws and shows both carry and strength out of the hand to intended base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate with a narrow stance. Loads hands back at start of swing, contact oriented approach, gets downward with swing at times, best when working on a linear plane and barreling to pull side, can implement additional separation in swing, shows present bat speed through the zone. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Texas Tech.
