Jose Troche is a 2020 C/RHP/1B with a 5-11 202 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Lincoln Park HS. Compact and stocky frame with present strength. Ran an 8.70 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, receives the baseball well out in front of his body, longer transfer, developing arm strength, will improve zip to throws with adjustments to lower half into release, 2.46 second best pop time. Secondary righthanded pitcher, present tempo to his delivery, takes arm back to a longer arm action up to an over the top arm slot, created plane when working in the lower third of the strike zone, fastball topped out at 70 mph with life to armside, mixed in a 12-to-6 curveball with steady break out of his hand. Also took reps in the infield, sits back on the baseball, deliberate and ow effort actions with developing footwork. Righthanded hitter, narrow base, rotational swing with an inside hand path to the baseball, will improve with additional reps at the plate. Outstanding student.
