Christian McCarthy is a 2020 RHP/ with a 5-9 187 lb. frame from Ballston Spa, NY who attends Ballston Spa Senior. Medium frame with strong present build. Primary righthanded pitcher, short strider downhill with effort through release, very closed-off landing spot, has some deception coming through with high front side, back elbow creeps up through stroke, throws from high three quarters slot, fastball worked 72-77 mph with slight arm side life. Showed curveball with sweeping shape, moves across the zone well, also worked in changeup with straighter action. Did a good job mixing and matching pitches while attacking hitters. Very good student.
