Ethan Luzum is a 2021 RHP/MIF, OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Calmar, IA who attends South Winneshiek. Lean athletic build. Ran a 7.19 second sixty-yard dash. Utilizes a small side step to belt high leg lift staying flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound with a slight recoil at finish. Uses a full arm action throwing from a three quarter arm slot with good arm speed. Flashed a fastball with good control to both sides of the plate up to 81 miles per hour complemented by a curveball with 11/5 shape for consistent strikes at 70 miles per hour. Showed the ability to work around and through the ball in the infield with athletic actions with low out front funnels. Displayed a strong arm with good online carry to the bases while topping out at 83 miles per hour during infield workouts. Right handed hitter. Employs a narrow even stance with a longer stride and a linear shift to contact. Utilizes a middle to pull side line drive approach with developing power. Showed developing feel for the barrel with some solid line drives to the pull side during batting practice. Excellent student.
