Matthew Devine-Henderson is a 2021 RHP/C, OF, 1B with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Chesapeake, VA who attends Indian River. Large frame with long, lean, highly-projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.50 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, looseness to arm stroke through release, drops and drives downhill with good inline direction, fastball worked 74-78 mph with good arm side life, showed feel for all three secondaries, slider with short cutting action, curveball with bigger shape, and changeup with solid fade. Threw strikes with all 4 pitches and dominated in this event. Hits from wide-spread, crouched stance with even base, solid bat speed with whip to hands, middle-field approach with consistent barrel skills, projects well as a two-way talent. Very good student.
