Austin Higgins is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Post Falls, ID. Tall athletic build with square shoulders and good present strength. Smooth and balanced delivery with a high leg lift raise and some hip coil at his gather point, good direction to the plate. Fastball topped out 81 mph, mostly straight. Curveball was a quality pitch with nice depth and occasional 12/6 downer shape, stays on top of the pitch well, showed the ability to bury it with intent or throw it for strikes. Had a feel for the strike zone with both pitches , and performed well. Right handed hitter, limited shift or lower half use, very rotational swing, puts the ball in the air and has some strength at contact.
