Brady Patterson is a 2021 C/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Auburn, KS who attends Washburn Rural High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present physical strength proportioned well throughout build. Primary catcher, compact set up and actions behind the plate, receives the ball out front with soft hands and shows balance to actions, simple mechanics and gains ground while repeating, compact and tight arm action on throws down to second base, overall arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Does a nice job of stays short and compact to the ball, some pre-pitch movement in hands but gets the barrel to the ball and shows some present bat speed. Strength plays off the barrel when extended out front at point of contact with lift to swing path, occasionally gets to front side early with weight shift. Nice tools to follow moving forward. Very good student. Named to the Top Prospect List.
