Jacob Charlson is a 2023 MIF/3B with a 5-9 158 lb. frame from Las Cruces, NM who attends Onate. Medium build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary infielder, smooth with his lower half to and through the baseball, good fluidity throughout. Solid glove work to his backhand side, ability to make plays on the move. Solid athleticism, accurate throws across the diamond. Arm strength will continue to improve alongside his build. At the plate, uses a slightly open and narrow stance with a simple stride trigger. Slightly elevated barrel plane, some good whip to his barrel through the zone. Wrapped start helps lead to that whip, quick hands through the zone with great extension into his finish. Great student in the classroom as well.
