2018 Great Lakes Prospect Showcase
Schaefer Wiskur is a 2022 RHP/3B, MIF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Clio, MI who attends Clio Area HS. Recorded a 7.57 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame that projects nicely with additional development and time. Primary righthanded pitcher with a long, offline arm stroke. Throws across his body with some effort and intent. Three-quarters arm slot with some extension. Good fastball life and was recorded up to 83 mph. Some command to both sides with the astball and showed a big curveball and a solid changeup in the low-70s that mimics the fastball nicely. Arm strength also plays from the infield, his secondary position. Righthanded hitter with a toe tap trigger into the swing and a line drive approach. Downhill swing plane with an upper half dominant swing. Generates some bat speed and gets nice extension through the hitting zone. Power will come with additional strength. Good student.
