Christian Cassels is a 2020 LHP/ with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Denham Springs, LA who attends Walker HS. Medium frame with a compact build and room to add more strength. Primary lefthanded pitcher who only pitched during the event. Pitches from a three-quarters arm slot with a short arm stroke in the back and a tight release. Hides the ball well with a smooth, balanced delivery. Drop and drove lower half mechanics and solid overall delivery. Showed a 1/7 curveball with solid depth and feel, just a slower developing pitch currently. Natural cutting life on his fastball that topped out at 76 mph. Good command of the fastball and is able to locate with intent to both sides of the plate. Confident demeanor and flashed a straight changeup while maintaining arm speed. Good student.
