Jean-Pierre Catellier is a 2020 SS/RHP, OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Springfield, MA who attends Wilbraham And Monson Academy. Medium frame with slender, athletic build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.00 seconds. Hits from crouched stance with even base, high back elbow, middle-field approach with solid bat speed, shows loft to stroke, does a good job using entire field. Primary infielder, gets around the ball well and stays balanced, works through the ball, clocked up to 79 mph across the diamond. Also took outfield reps and showed arm strength up to 81 mph. Pitched as well, quick arm stroke hidden well through the back, drop-and-drive mechanics, fastball worked 79-81 mph with good life, worked fastballs to both sides, showed slider and changeup as well, threw a lot of strikes. Very good student.
