Matthew Randall is a 2021 SS/RHP/UT with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Alto, TX who attends Alto. Nice athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. Two way prospect. 7.20 runner, has athletic action in the middle infield, funnels and gathers well out front with soft hands, clean transfers and a quick release. Right handed hitter, has a very good shift into contact, smooth and well timed from a straight stance, has present bat speed and the ability to drive the ball, multiple hard contacts deep to left centerfield, showed his power well, present hitting tools that should continue to improve. Showed a quick and compact arm action on the mound, fastball topped out at 86 mph with hard running life in the zone and occasional cut to the glove side. Slider has tight spin and is a good secondary pitch. Uncommitted senior who can play easily at the next level. Good student. Named to the South Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
