Jelani Parker is a 2023 OF/C with a 5-8 156 lb. frame from Carson, CA who attends Paramount HS. Recorded a 7.88 second 60-yard dash time. Square shoulders with a medium frame and substantial projection remaining. Primary outfielder with arm strength recorded up to 72 mph into the infield. Good accuracy into the bad, fields to the side and stays compact. Quick transfer and release on throws and can improve with additional lower half involvement. Secondary catcher who receives out in front with a short arm action. Works forward with accurate throws and has an over the top arm slot. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a high leg lift trigger. Keeps hands inside and stays tight and short to the ball. Some jump off the barrel with a flat path. Flashes shift onto the front side. Inconsistent mechanics but good hitting tools to work with. Good student.
