Luis Rodriguez is a 2021 LHP/ with a 5-9 146 lb. frame from Pembroke Pines, FL who attends West Broward. Medium frame with a lean buld. Primary left handed pitcher with a simple side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Lands in line with front side and carries momentum to the plate well. Deep arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball generated solid downward plane through the zone in the mid 70's, topped at 75 miles per hour. Curveball showed 1/7 shape with tighter spin and late depth when maintaining arm speed through extension. Displayed developing feel for breaking ball with the willingness to double up at times. Primarily looked to challenge hitters to the bottom quadrants of the zone.
