Cooper Walker is a 2020 2B/ with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from West Chester, OH who attends Lakota West. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Primary second baseman with smooth, athletic footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through the baseball well. Quicker exchanges and released from a three-quarters slot creating accurate carry to the bag, topped at 78 mph. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and toe tap trigger. Created good linear shift into contact with lower half. Direct hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Showed present bat speed with strength through the zone. Stays balanced and consistently produced hard, sharp contact to the middle of the field. Good student as well.
