Maddux Mueller is a 2026 SS/RHP, 2B, MIF, UT with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Amana, IA who attends Prairie. A taller frame and athletic build, with some strength showing. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder who has a strong arm and active feet with snatchy hands to his actions. He shuffles well into the throws with lateral range and a good attack on the slow roller. He adjusted slots as necessary and looked the part at shortstop. Clean round overall, throwing 82 mph across the diamond. Also worked out as an outfielder, charging it with direct routes and a crow-hop into release. Showed off a good arm, fielding it one-handed off the to the side of his body. Full arm circle on his throws and some carry on them at 84 mph from the outfield. He had good actions overall with clean footwork. He's a left-handed hitter with slightly open feet, higher-set hands, and the back elbow up. He has a narrow base as he sets up and uses an inward leg lift to get on time. He creates separation well through the swing and was able to drive the ball pull-side well. He produced a couple of nice line drives up the middle with loose hands and a loose path through the zone. Produced some balls with carry to the pull-side and middle of the field, but he used the whole field throughout the round. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher, working from the wind-up. He sidesteps into a leg lift up around the belt and keeps the hands separated from the body as he does so. He throws from a three-quarters release and has a longer arm stroke through contact. He hides the ball well through the back. He starts slower and deliberate, then ramps up with good speed, working down the slope. He repeated the delivery well. He worked into the upper-70s on the fastball with arm-side run and sink to it. He can get some plane on it, making it tough for hitters to pick it up due to his three-quarters release. Also had a really good feel to spin the 11/5 shaped breaking ball in the mid-60s. Threw a scoreless inning, striking out the side during his outing. Named to 2023 Top Prospect Games TP List.
