Eduardo Cardenas is a 2022 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-0 135 lb. frame from Albuquerque, NM who attends Rio Grande. Projectable frame with some strength in build and square shoulders. Ran a 7.80 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher with a short side step start into a low leg lift below the belt delivery. Full and loose arm action in the back releasing from an extended three-quarters arm slot. Lands closed down the mound and creates some cross-fire in delivery while utilizing some tall and actions down the mound. Shows some sinking run to the fastball topping out at 83 miles per hour. Will mix in the curveball in any count with feel for the spin in the upper 80's. Also worked out defensively as a secondary outfielder. Fields out front with a funnel up. Aggressive close carrying some momentum through transfer. Shows some carry to the infield on throws topping out at 79 miles per hour. Lefthanded hitter with a slightly open stance. Utilizes a longer leg lift trigger for timing. Apparent aggressive shift into contact with a consistent barreled contact. Solid line drives off the bat. Arizona Western College commit. Named to the 2018 14U National Showcase Top Prospect List.
