Ryan Thomas is a 2008 3B/P with a 6'3'', 195 lb. frame from Salt Lake City, Utah, who attends Cottonwood High School. Thomas has a nice frame that is still projectable. Defensively he has solid actions, and he showed soft hands in game action. Thomas has range to both sides, and he charges the ball well. He threw 77 mph across the diamond. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a very wide base with a no stride approach. Thomas loads his hands, and has a line drive swing plane. He stays balanced through his swing and he turns on the inside pitch well. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with solid arm speed. He gets arm side life on his fastball that topped out at 82 mph, while he works at 80-82. He throws with a down hill plane, and he has projectable velocity. Thomas also mixes in a short curveball at 68 mph. He is a good student as well.
