Drew Hnilo is a 2020 RHP with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from St. Louis, MO who attends Lindbergh HS. Slender young build. Very fast paced delivery on the mound, holds it together well but it is very timing intensive, kicks his front leg out hard and front side can get too fast at times. Mid-80's fastball, mostly straight and throw for strikes. Gets over a mid-70's slider well with good two-plane shape to it, tended to slow his arm on his change up but had some feel to it. Showed an idea how to pitch and mix things up. Has the potential to improve with adjustments and more strength. Velocity is up 10 mph since last spring and 6 mph since last summer. Good student.
