2018 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase
Christopher "C.J." Fredericks is a 2022 1B/1B with a 6-6 225 lb. frame from Jobstown, NJ who attends Northern Burlington. Tall frame with long limbs and present strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary first baseman with clean footwork while ranging for and centering the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange efficiently. Released from a lower three-quarters arm slot generating some on line carry across the infield. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Stays on back side throughout swing. Hands load to a deeper position and work to baseball on a loose path. Utilized a slightly lifted barrel plane and showed good strength at contact. Ball jumped off the barrel well when squared to the middle of the field and pull side gap. Very good student. Named to the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase, Top Prospect List.
