Hayden Klein is a 2022 C/RHP with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Parkville, MO who attends Park Hill South. Strong build with present strength and room to fill out. Ran a 7.65 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Employs a even stance with out front receiving actions. Displayed clean footwork gaining ground well from behind the plate. Showed a compact exchange into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to the bases topping out at 75 mph and posting a 2.11 second pop time. Right handed hitter. Employs a narrow upright stance with a high hand and back elbow set up to go along with a toe tap trigger. Looks to get arms extended looking to get around the ball to the pull side. Displayed the ability to create jump off the barrel to the pull side when on time and squared. Also pitched at the event. Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online witht he plate and staying online with the plate. Flashed a long, loose arm action going to a high three-quarter slot with good arm speed. Features a two pitch mix including a fastball with good feel for the zone up to 77 mph and a developing curveball with 11/5 shape at 63 mph. Excellent student.
